“Has anyone ever told you you’re incredibly difficult to get rid of?” You asked with a small grin. His arm draped around your shoulders as he led you away towards the seating. He seemed to just start popping up and you were running out of excuses and reasons. According to Pony, Dallas’s exact words were “fine by me, I like a challenge.” You didn’t see him again for a couple of weeks, and he then started asking you out whenever he got the chance. You later learned from him that Dallas was surprised you weren’t into him, but that didn’t dissuade Dallas. The three of you walked another couple of blocks before you turned down your street, telling Ponyboy you’d see him later. ![]() He made some quip about how the forecast didn’t mention pretty girls falling into his arms you weren’t that amused.
